One of the most important recent concerns in the world is the environment and its protection. Environmental education by storytelling, which is based on children's thinking mechanisms, can be considered a method for child education. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of teaching environmental concepts through animism-based storytelling on children's environmental knowledge and attitude. The research is quasi-experimental, including two groups (experimental and control), a pre-test and a post-test. The statistical population includes all the first-grade elementary school students of Shazand, Markazi Province, Iran, in the academic year 2021-2022, with 17 people in each group selected by convenience sampling. The instrument was Leeming's (1995) questionnaire, which includes two subscales of environmental knowledge and environmental attitude. Data analysis was carried out using multivariate covariance analysis. The findings indicated that there is a significant difference between the environmental knowledge and attitude of the experimental group and the control group. The results indicated that presenting environmental concepts using animism-based storytelling had a significant effect on children's environmental knowledge and attitude. In conclusion, although storytelling can generally affect knowledge and attitude, animism-based storytelling has a more significant effect on children's environmental knowledge and attitude.

This study has investigated the effective social factors on solid waste management behaviors (reduce, reuse, and recycle) in Abadan city. 395 people who were selected using the multi-stage random sampling method responded to the questions. Based on the descriptive findings, the mean age of the respondents is 32.5, and 53.7% are men and 46.3% are women. The analytical findings show that there is a positive and significant relationship between environmental attitudes and reusing and recycling. Mental norms in both dimensions of "descriptive norms" and "emphatic norms", and citizenship culture in both dimensions of "obligations" and "participation" have shown a positive and significant relationship with waste management behavior. In addition, age has a negative and significant relationship with waste reduction. The mean for solid waste management behavior is significantly different among differently educated groups. The mean for reusing among women is significantly higher than among men and the mean for reduction and reusing are significantly different between single and married people. The regression analysis indicates that the independent variables can explain 0.38 of the dependent variable and the perceived behavior control in its external dimension is the most powerful variable for predicting the dependent variable.

Consumers are nowadays more concerned about environmental changes, and accordingly they have changed their purchasing behavior. Concerns on environment have made them to pay attention to reusability of product packaging in their decision-making process. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of factors affecting consumers' perception of the reusability of product packaging. This study is applied in terms of objective and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. The population of study included customers in Bushehr city. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. Data of study were collected among 385 customers of retail stores in Bushehr city using convenient sampling. Then, they were analyzed by structural equation modeling to test the conceptual model and hypotheses of study. Results of the study revealed that match between material, form, and color of the package have a positive and significant impact on consumer perception of reusability of packaging. In addition, results of this study suggest that environmental attitude and the sensitivity to recyclability of packaging have a positive and significant impact on consumer perception of the reusability of packaging. In general, five factors of environmental attitude of consumer, consumer sensitivity to recyclability of packaging, match between material, form, and color of product packaging in total could explain 0.681 of variance of consumer perception of reusability of product packaging.

The growth of social networking has made it possible to define new applications for this tool especially in learning, including formal, informal, and tacit education (visual, auditory and written). The purpose of this study was to explain the impact of the use of Eitaa social network on the environmental attitude of students in three cognitive, emotional and behavioral areas. The present study is the type of applied researches which regarding the purpose, and regarding the data collection tool, it is a semi-experimental study with pre-test, post-test, and control group. The study sample has consisted of 46 students of Payame Noor University of Markazi province that were selected by the convenience sampling method and were randomly divided into two control and study groups. According to the results of the covariance analysis test, it was concluded that there is a significant difference between the three variables in the two stages of pre-test and post-test, which shows the effect of environmental training with the application of Eitaa social network on all of the three dimensions of the students' environmental attitude. The comparison of the mean of the two stages of pre-test and post-test showed that the mean of all of the three variables in the post-test was higher than the pretest. Scheffe post hoc test results also showed a higher mean in the study group than the control group in all three variables. According to the calculated level of effect, respectively about 70, 10 and 14 percent of the variance of the cognitive, emotional and behavioral dimensions of the environmental attitude of the study group was explicitly explained by applying the training method (environmental training of Eitaa).

The pro-environmental behavior is one of the most effective factors for protecting the environment. This behavior is influenced by many factors including individuals’ environmental attitudes and knowledge. This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between environmental knowledge with environmental behaviors with regard to the mediation role of environmental attitudes. This research has been conducted through survey method. The statistical population was 1850 agricultural students at Bu-Ali Sina University. Based on Krejcie and Morgan's table, a sample of 300 agricultural students was chosen through simple random sampling method. Data was collected using a standardized survey questionnaire. The face and content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by agricultural extension and education experts, and its’ reliability was confirmed by pilot study and Cronbach’s Alpha. Results indicated that both objective and subjective environmental knowledge were correlated with environmental behavior. Furthermore, environmental attitudes mediated the relation between subjective environmental knowledge and environmental behavior. By investigating the relationships between subjective and objective environmental knowledge and environmental attitudes with environmental behaviors, greater insight is gained with regard to this behavior.

The pro-environmental behavior is one of the most effective factors for protecting the environment which is heavily depending on the environmental awareness of citizens. This study explored the effect of “environmental awareness” on “attitude” and “environmental behaviors” of Qom university female students based on Bamberg and Möser’s Theory about the factors affecting environmental behaviors. Survey research method was adopted and the data collection instrument was questionnaire. In the current study, 370 participants were selected using Cochrane formula for categorical sampling. The descriptive results showed most of the students’ (57.9 %) environmental awareness seem to be at medium level. The inferential results indicated that, there was a significant relationship between the “environmental awareness“, “environmental attitude“, “tendency for environmental behavior“ and “pro-environmental behaviors“ while no significant relationship between the awareness resources and environmental awareness was observed. “Environmental awareness” directly, indirectly and generally exerts remarkable influence on environmental behavior. The results of regression analysis showed that the three remaining independent variables explain only 20.6 % of the variance of the dependent variable. In total, the findings of the present study confirmed the theoretical framework based on which the research model was planned. For improving pro-environmental behaviors, awareness resources must be reinforced; all state and private organizations and institutes as well as families must help the process of “environmental socialization”, and education quality must be enhanced.

To foster environmental friendly behavior, it is necessary to understand individual an social norms. Thus, this study aims toanswer the question that to what extent these norms are facilitating individual’s environmental behaviorand to what extent, they are filling the gap between attitudes and behaviors towards environmental behavior. This study was conducted among urban dwellers of Mazandaran province in 2016 with utilizing survey method. To identify the sample, a cluster sampling method was applied and 467 people were surveyed. The questionnaire was used as a mean of data collection and the validity was measured by utilizing some experts, while reliability of the questionnaire was measured by using Alpha Cronbach technique. The results of the study show that levels of individual and social norms are not so strong among surveyed people. However, the results indicate that above mentioned norms affectenvironmental behaviors. These types of norms also help to fill the gap between attitudes and environmental behaviors. The results of regression analysis also show that social norms have most influence on environmental friendly behavior and are a strong predictor compared with other surveyed variables. The paper is ended up with some explanation about norms weaknesses.

This research is allocated to examine the extent of environmental knowledge, attitude and performance of students in order to measure their needs for environmental education. This study is done by survey method through questionnaire, and the environmental knowledge, attitude and performance of 150 students of Isfahan elementary schools, chosen by multi-step cluster sampling, is measured. The findings indicate that students have a relatively good knowledge about the necessity of plant types existence, dangers of sound pollution, and dangers of getting rid of trash in a wrong way, but they don’t have enough information about lack of necessary resources in life varieties and the effects of trees in reduction of sound pollution. 80 percent of students don’t know the sign of recycling and don’t have a good knowledge about recyclable substances. They even have no knowledge about ozone-friendly sign on products and the necessity of paying attention to it. Yet, they have a positive attitude about their own part and other people's part in reduction of environmental pollution. They're worried about their own health because of environmental reasons, but still don’t believe that human use the environment wrongly.
