[English]

The aim of the present research is to offer a causal model of the environmental behavior based on‌ parenting styles and interactive role of identity processing styles among high school girls in Darab. For this  purpose , among 13480  high school girls studying in grade 2 in 2015-2016  in Darab , about 375 of  high school girls  were selected  as  the  research sample  through  relatively stratified sampling. Measurement tools were Schiffer's parenting questionnaire (1965), Berzonsky's identity processing style questionnaire (1979) ‌and Emamgholi's environental behavior questionnaire (2011). In this research descriptive and inductive statistical methods such as correlative and route analysis were used to analyze the hypotheses. The   research findings showed that  the  parenting styles through identity processing styles had  an indirect and meaningful effect on the  environmental behavior, and the most to the‌ least indirect effect on the environmental  behavior was related  to the dictatorial , decisive, indifferent, and neglectful parenting  respectively  through identity processing styles. Also, ‌informational and normative identity had an indirect and positive effect and‌ bewildered-avoiding identity had a negative and‌ meaningful effect on the environmental behavior. Based on the findings of this research, parenting styles and identity processing styles express 41% of changes in the environmental behavior.
