Lahijan Branch Journal Article 2012 09 26 The increasing development of society, the meaning of participation to all areas of social life is extended. This is a field study that uses a Survey research plan. The community contributing statistics to this research <br />includes members and managers of nongovernmental environmental organizations, and also authorities of the City of Mashhad. SPSS software has been used for data analysis, and these data were analyzed in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. It was concluded that these organizations are an important part of the national effort to protect the environment.
