This study was conducted to identify and prioritize the challenges and Solutions of pro-environmental behavior of 120 greenhouse cucumber growers in Tarand district through Delphi technique during two rounds. Findings showed that the overuse of chemical inputs was recognized as the most important pro-environmental behavior challenge. Furthermore, using disposable plastic coatings, improper waste management, and using diesel were the important pro-environmental challenges, respectively. In addition, the results showed that to address these challenges, first the adverse impacts of using chemical inputs must be explained; Eco-friendly alternative inputs should be introduced; the separation, recycling and proper disposal of waste should be trained and encouraged; and finally the use of solar and other clean types of energy need to be trained and encouraged. Next, after raising the level of environmental awareness of farmers, in order to implement the training provided, financial and credit support; access to Eco-friendly inputs, equipment and technologies; and the development of environmental laws should be the focus of politicians and those who are in charge.

The purpose of this descriptive research was to analyze the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics and the environmental behavior of rural women. The statistical population of the study was 1288 rural women in the Halil Rood watershed of Jiroft Township. Sample size determined 297 via using Krejcie and Morgan’s table. Sampling method was proportional stratified sampling. The research instrument was a researcher-designed questionnaire. Validity of the questionnaire confirmed by a panel of experts. To determine the reliability of the questionnaire, a pilot test was conducted. Then Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated. The value was between 0.71 to 0.87 for research variables. Research results showed that the majority of rural women had a desirable situation about all components of the theory of planned behavior (Attitude, Subjective Norms, Perceived Behavior Control, Intention, and Behavior). Research results also showed that the pro-environmental behavior of rural women was different according to their type of occupation and marital status. Also literacy and age had a significant relationship with pro-environmental behavior of rural women.

Many environmental problems are caused by individual behaviors, but in contrast, the behaviors are influenced by other factors. For resilience in these situations, therefore, it is necessary to adopt individual and social behaviors based on social-ecological aspects. The research aims were to identify the extent of environmental behaviors of citizens of Razavieh city, Khorasan-Razavi province, Iran, and also influencing factors towards pro-environmental behaviors. According to the Cochran formula, 334 households were selected by systematic random sampling method and were surveyed by a researcher-made questionnaire for collecting data. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the citizens’ environmental behaviors with the variables of environmental knowledge, awareness, belief, and value, as well as, age. Of course, environmental behavior varies by gender, marital status, education level, and occupation. Furthermore, the findings revealed that the citizens were environmentally friendly, and enthusiastically tend to participate in urban development activities. Since the best option to succeed in any development project is rooted in the scale and availability of community engagement, it is crucial to focus on regional and local collaboration in cities to achieve the best environmental behaviors. However, according to the concept of sustainable citizenship behavior, the findings of this research would provide an environmental horizon and also highlight types of future environmental policies in urban watershed management.

Global warming and climate changes caused by human activities is one of the major environmental problems which has attracted the attention of many scientific and political circles of the world in the last two decades. The research with the subject of Factors associated with environmental behavior in the urban environment has been done. The statistical population of this research were 1,614,626 Karaj citizens with 15 to 75 year old that 384 individuals were selected by using of cluster random sampling by using of Cochran formula. The research is of survey type and questionnaire is the tool of data collecting. The questionnaire Validity is of formal type and its reliability is measured using Cronbach's alpha. The results show that there is a significant relationship between the variables of education, awareness of climate changes, general knowledge about climate changes, the perception of the risk of climate changes, attitudes towards climate changes and pro-environmental behavior. Also, there is a significant difference in pro-environmental behavior between women and men. Results of regression analysis show that, according to the adjusted coefficient of determination variables in the regression equation, 29% of the variance of the dependent variable is determined by the independent variables; and perception of the risk of climate changes, has the greatest overall impact on the pro-environmental behavior.
