The development of ecotourism is a viable strategy to preserve natural resources and cultural values in society. In addition, it empowers local communities and brings about cultural, social, and environmental sustainability. This study aims to evaluate the predictor elements of environmental knowledge and awareness of eco-tourists in the protected area of Binalood. The research method is a descriptive-analytical method. The statistical population of the study is the number of eco-tourists entering the region, based on field statistics obtained from village-heads (September 2017), which is estimated at 12,900. Finally, 210 were used as the sample size and as the basis for completing the questionnaire and analysis. The research findings, based on a single sample t-test, revealed that the real average of the two indicators of having environmental knowledge and awareness of laws and the natural environment is less than average (3). Findings on the t-test (two samples) showed that the average opinion of men on environmental knowledge indicators is higher than women and that there is a significant difference between men and women. The adjusted coefficient based on the regression test is 0.54. Obviously, the 0.54 changes in the environmental behavior of eco-tourists depend on individual and socio-economic factors. According to the results of the Pearson correlation test, there is a significant and strong relationship between the behavior and environmental attitudes of eco-tourists. In order to improve the environmental knowledge of eco-tourists, it is the researchers’ recommendation to establish visitor centers and hold training courses, seminars, etc., based on the age and sexual characteristics of the visitors. The best way to transfer the teachings is to use the means and materials of dissemination of knowledge, such as preparing brochures and short films and informing people through popular networks and social sites.

The collision of vehicles with animals on the roads is a globally common occurrence and mostly happens due to the destruction and fragmentation of wildlife habitats. The present research has studied some parts of the Asian International Road, located in eastern Iran, to analyze the effects of roadside habitats on roads’ wildlife casualties and the drivers' views on the subject. The statistical population was the intercity drivers of Taybad City and the data collection tools were direct observations, researcher-made questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. Using SPSS software, non-parametric Mann Whitey U, and Spearman's Rank tests, the results showed that the highest road wildlife deaths were related to small mammals, but larger mammals and birds, and reptiles were also observed. Significant correlations were determined between amounts of casualties in different months, between accidents’ day-time, and between the number of casualties and the type of habitat surrounding the road. Mortalities were significantly reduced by converting roadside lands into agricultural ecosystems. The results showed that drivers have not received any type of wildlife protection training, but had great empathy for them. They cited high speed, road traffic, and the size of animals as the most common causes of accidents.

Hospitals produce a wide range of waste. Office waste and kitchen waste are considered household waste, while operating room waste is highly contaminated and considered hazardous waste. In other words, about 75 to 90 percent of the waste generated in hospitals is quasi-domestic and 10 to 25 percent of waste generated in hospitals is hazardous. This study aimed to identify the effective factors in the management of special medical waste to analyze these factors and determine the most effective ones to improve the quality of management of such wastes. Evaluations based on Fuzzy Delphi technique, and extracting information from the questionnaires given to a statistical population of 35 experts in the field of waste management showed a coefficient of 0.882 using Cronbach's alpha formula, gathered from 45 effective indexes identified. Experts had full consensus on the impact of 12 main indexes to be used to model the management of such waste. According to the ranking, the "amount of dedicated budget to educational programs in the hospital" index with a consensus percentage of 92 percent has the first rank in this section and it is the most effective index in hospital waste management. "The amount of Dedicated budget to hospital waste management", "the amount of Dedicated budget for periodic monitoring of the performance of production centers", and "Number of active autoclaves in contracted medical centers" are placed after with a percentage of consensus of 89, 88 and 86 percent, respectively. Also, the population index is ranked last with a consensus of 77 percent.
