The most important effects of green spaces in cities are their environmental functions, which are created by a balance in the metabolism of the city and raising the level of beauty that leads to the increase of biological qualities of cities. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the views, awareness, and participation of citizens regarding the development and impact of urban green space in the city of Ahvaz. The research method was conducted in the form of distribution and completion of a questionnaire with multiple choice questions for 4 consecutive weeks. The sampling method was cluster random and the statistical population was considered to be people over 18 years. After completing the questionnaire, the available information was entered into the computer using SPSS22. Pearson's correlation coefficient, T-test, chi-square, F-test, LSD, Duncan's test, and analysis of variance were used. The results showed that the relationship between the independent variables, including gender, level of education, age, and occupation, with the view index, is significant at the 1% level. The assumption of the equality of mean in the view index between men and women was rejected with 95% certainty. View index in the educational and occupational categories was significant at the level of 5%. Also, there was a significant relationship between the age of the respondents and their views. Therefore, with the increase in age, educational and occupational level, their view on the importance of green space development increases. The relationship between age, gender, education, and occupation of the respondents with awareness index was significant at 0.05 level. While none of the variables had a significant relationship with the participation index.

The purpose of this descriptive research was to analyze effect of environmental beliefs on participatory behaviors of farmers toward water conservation. Statistical population of the study was farmer households in central region of the Zarivar watershed located at Marivan township (N=2097). Sample size determined via Cochran formula (n=237). The sampling method was proportional stratified random sampling. Face and content validity of the questionnaire revised and verified by a panel of experts. Convergent validity of questionnaire was obtained at the optimum level by calculating the average variance extracted (AVE) and composite reliability (CR). To determine the reliability of the questionnaire, a pilot test was conducted, and then Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated. For data analysis, AMOS and SPSS software were used. Descriptive results showed that the highest and lowest mean for components of general beliefs were assigned to the human interdependence (3.08 out of 5) and the human exception (1.78 out of 5) respectively. Also, means of farmers’ specific beliefs were calculated upper than average level (3.75 out of 5) and for farmers’ participatory behavior toward water, conservation was lower than the average level (2.51 out of 6). Research findings showed that general and specific beliefs of farmers had a positive and significant effect on their participatory behavior toward water conservation. So that these variables could explain about 0.29% variance of participatory water conservation behvaior.

The purpose of this research is to evaluate and prioritize the effective components in attracting and promoting the participation of NGOs in solid waste management in Tehran. Two statistical societies, including managers of NGOs and Waste Management Department of Tehran Municipality, were studied to study and analyze the factors affecting participation in waste management and ranking the options through questionnaires and decision matrix, respectively. The questionnaire was prepared on a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 using factor analysis. The results were used as alternatives in multivariate decision making, including TOPSIS and ANP, and in the Expert selection software environment. The results of factor analysis showed that based on Kayser's criterion, five suitable components were detected that their specific value was more than 1. The first component had the highest share (21.551%), and the fifth component had the lowest percentage (10.446%) in explaining the variance of all variables. In total, the five components were able to estimate 71.56% of the variance of all variables. Based on the results of the network analysis process, the "Facilitation and Remedies of Legal Barriers" option (final weight of 232/0) has had the most significant impact on the participation of public organizations in waste management in Tehran. The distance between options with the ideal solution and the perfect solution picture showed that the First option with the least distance (0.554) had the most significant impact on the environmental, health and economic impact Implementation of the participation plan of NGOs in waste management in Tehran.

The purpose of this study was to assess the achievement of educational objectives for management of the crisis (environment) in the earthquake-stricken area of Kermanshah province. The research method of this paper is a survey, and the statistical population is the citizens living in SarPol-e-Zahab, the NGOs involved in the Kermanshah earthquake and environmentalists with a sample size of 525 people. The survey tool is a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale and a distance scale. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software, and the reliability of the questionnaire was determined through internal matching of the items (Cronbach's alpha). Findings showed that about 63% of respondents believe that awareness raising in the environmental field is essential, but 97% of respondents believe that triple action (government, NGO, and people) in the areas of the earthquake is not acceptable in the field of increasing awareness. Also, about 67% believe that promotion of knowledge in environmental issues is of great importance, with 80% of respondents acknowledging that the performance of this category in poorly seized areas has been weak. About 68% of respondents believe that positive attitudes toward environmental issues are necessary, and 72% think that the importance of this in earthquake areas is weak and very weak. Approximately 70% of respondents considered skills to be necessary, but 79% believed that the field was weak. In sum, the achievement of environmental education goals in a critical and realistic situation (SarPol-e- Zahab earthquake), which is considered in this paper, is in a fragile state.

This study aims to achieve rural participation in the process of rural waste management practices among non-experimental and applied research was done on field. The population of the study consisted of rural households and sampling to fit the data and multi-stage random sampling. The sample of 181 households were selected using Cochran formula. The main tool for this research, questionnaire design and research background research is consistent with the theoretical model. as well software for data analysis and statistics are SPSS22 coefficient of variation, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis was used. The results of priority and factor analysis also indicates that the training courses, buy garbage, transparency in costs are the most important factors in attractingof public Participation.

The main aim of this study is to evaluate the areas influencing the optimal NGOs participation in governmental policy-making process (Environmental Protection Agency in Tehran). In this study, 13 organizations were selected as the statistical population. The sample size was determined using Cochran's formula of 378 people. The sampling method of the study is also using available sampling. After collecting the data by using a structured questionnaire, structural equation modeling and hypothesis testing was conducted based on Partial Least Squares approach. The results showed that in general, the construct in the model affecting areas on the participation of non-governmental organizations in policy-making of the Environmental Protection Agency explain almost 61 percent of the variance. Also from the viewpoint of members, environmental NGOs can participate in the creation of environmental decisions and monitor and evaluate the implementation of environmental decisions and have an important role in environmental policy-making process.

The increasing development of society, the meaning of participation to all areas of social life is extended. This is a field study that uses a Survey research plan. The community contributing statistics to this research includes members and managers of nongovernmental environmental organizations, and also authorities of the City of Mashhad. SPSS software has been used for data analysis, and these data were analyzed in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. It was concluded that these organizations are an important part of the national effort to protect the environment. In environmental education, and in order to achieve better usage of the abilities of nongovernmental organizations in order to elevate the teaching of the environment in the nation, it is necessary that evaluating the teaching of the environment is conducted with correct programming at the upper executive and legal levels. Keywords: Environmental Education, participation, Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations, Mashhad MetropolisKeywords: Environmental Education, participation, Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations, Mashhad Metropolis
