Abstract
The increasing development of society, the meaning of participation to all areas of social life is extended. This is a field study that uses a Survey research plan. The community contributing statistics to this research
includes members and managers of nongovernmental environmental organizations, and also authorities of the City of Mashhad. SPSS software has been used for data analysis, and these data were analyzed in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. It was concluded that these organizations are an important part of the national effort to protect the environment. In environmental education, and in order to achieve better usage of the abilities of nongovernmental organizations in order to elevate the teaching of the environment in the nation, it is necessary that evaluating the teaching of the environment is conducted with correct programming at the upper executive and legal levels.Keywords: Environmental Education, participation, Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations, Mashhad MetropolisKeywords: Environmental Education, participation, Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations, Mashhad Metropolis
