The aim of this study is to analyze the role of “Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Strategic Plan on Climate Change” in 5 different sectors of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, water management, agriculture and food security, biological resources and health on knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) of the society for mitigation and adaptation to climate change. The research method is practical and it is descriptive-analytical study. According to the result of the study, all of three dimensions of KAP considered in 25 strategies of the 5 sectors, but they are not proportional. As of 229 programs of this plan, 24% and 26% are related to enhance the level of knowledge and attitude of community of Iran and 50% of programs are practical. The sectors with the highest and lowest proportion of programs related to the development of knowledge, are health sector (56%) and reducing greenhouse gas sector (8%) respectively. In addition, the sectors with the highest and lowest proportion of programs related to the enhance of attitude, are water management sector (44%) and health sector (12%). The most practical programs are relevant to agriculture and food security and reducing greenhouse gas sectors (60%) and the least practical programs are related to water management. It is suggested that knowledge and attitude of different stakeholders improve through education in order to practical programs that are more than 50% of the programs of this plan, become more effective.

Due to the presence of vocational and technical graduates in all economic activities, they should be trained in such a way that to be aware of the impact of their work and decision on the environment. In this regard, in this study we try to offer a fuzzy multiple attribute decision making model based on the environmental competency criteria for choosing an environmental education method in vocational and technical schools. For this purpose in the first by searching scientific resources, as well as discussions with experts, environmental competency criteria of technical and vocational graduates were identified, then three different questionnaires were designed for data collection and after distributing and collecting questionnaires among research experts, entropy Shanon method and hybrid DEMATEL-ANP approach were used for weighting and prioritizating of mentioned criteria. The results were used for ranking of environmental education methods using fuzzy Electre, fuzzy Topsis and fuzzy Saw. Since the results of the above-mentioned methods are not consistent with each other in some cases, for reaching a general consensus, the POSET method was used and finally, a fuzzy multiple attribute decision making model was proposed to select the best environmental education method in technical and vocational schools. The results show that prioritizing of environmental competency criteria is vary depending on the type of weighting techniques and group discussion is the most appropriate teaching method of environmental education.

One of the causes of environmental crisis is the lack of environmental awareness. Certainly, one of the ways of creating it is proper training. As one of the most versatile tools for teaching in the country are textbooks, the present study aims at investigating the main components of environment teaching included in the sixth grade text books in Iran. The method of the study was content analysis using Shannon entropy analysis including texts, questions, exercises, and pictures of selected books. The findings showed that the highest significant correlation in social studies books was related to the component of the way of exploiting the renewable and non-renewable resources which was (.023%), and the least significant correlation was related to the components of population, ozone layer depletion, and the role of technology in environment as well as global warming. It is also showed that in the Persian text book (reading), the focus of attention was only on the soil components (.013%) and the human role in environmental protection (.002%). In the text book of science, (.004%) of focus was on the components of environment, jungles, and trees, and (.023%) to the ways of exploiting the renewable and non-renewable resources. In the sixth grade's thinking and research textbook, the attention was only on the jungles and trees without considering the other environmental components. In the text books of Quran, mathematics, work and technology, divine gifts, and Persian (writing), there is no attention to the environment. The results showed that there is not a balanced and comprehensive attention to the components of environmental education in the content of text books of the sixth grade in Iran.

The objective of the current study is to evaluate training methods in order to select the appropriate methods to promote environmental awareness and finally to change individual behavior to protect the environment. The methodology of this study is a survey of a statistical group involving 260 public sector managers and experts in Tehran. The tool for survey consisted of a questionnaire with one question in Multi-Choice, Single-Response Scale to measure the interest of employees in training methods in offices. The results of survey in the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) were evaluated, taking into account all the factors. In this model, after consultation with scholars in the field of educational science with Delphi method, the parameters of time, cost, increasing the level of knowledge, the number of trainees, change of behavior and interaction among trainees were selected as the main criteria in AHP and the grading was carried out. The results of the study showed that workshop had the highest score with a weight of 0.515, and the options of distance education with a weight of 0.263 and lecture with a weight of 0.222 being the next priorities. Also in this study, the change in preference for any of the criteria, priority of training methods can be calculated with quantifying. As with the aim of increasing the number of trainees (from 7.6% to 37.8%), distance-education has higher priority than other options, and so with the aim of increasing the level of knowledge (from 16.9% to 60.3%), lecture will have higher priority.
