The Environment is a commonplace belonging to humans and the plant and animal species that line in it. Over time, this borderless place has faced numerous challenges and crises as a result of irrational interactions. Therefore, protecting this valuable habitat is important. Based on this, current research aims to identify the characteristics of green curriculum elements in the educational system. The current research as a case study and follows a qualitative approach. The Research participants included curriculum experts, environmental experts, and science teachers, who together reached theoretical saturation by using semi-structured interviews with 20 people. The reliability and validity of the research were checked and confirmed based on validity, transferability, reliability, and verifiability. The collected data were analyzed through thematic analysis (comprehensive, organized, and basic). The obtained results were categorized into 126 basic topics, 4 organizing topics in the first stage, 24 organizing topics in the second stage, and one comprehensive theme. The organizing themes of the first stage included the factors of goal, content, teaching-learning strategies, and evaluation. The organizing of the second stage in the themes of goal and content included; water, air, climate, biodiversity, natural ecosystem, waste, soil and energy and the theme of teaching-learning strategies included; the characteristics of teacher, the characteristics of student, the materials and resources, the educational environment and teaching method.
